Getting a new puppy is sort of like falling in love. Owners have a hard time refusing the new puppy any comforts it may want. That often means letting the new puppy sleep in the bed. This can be comforting for both the dog and owner and strengthen the bond between them.

But after a while, even the most adorable little puppies grow into dogs. Unless you have a California-king sized bed you will probably be running out of room. A dog snuggle bed may provide the answer you’re looking for. These luxurious beds are made to offer your dog the utmost in comfort and fashion.

There’s nothing more important than the health and comfort of our animals. Especially as animals get older, they can begin to experience some serious health issues. With that in mind, our elderly dogs might start to suffer from issues ranging from arthritis to lack of stamina. If you find your dog is not quite as spritely as he used to be, the best thing you can do is keep an eye on his medical conditions and make sure that he’s not ever suffering or in serious pain.

If you find, however, that your dog is basically healthy just getting up there in years, make sure to keep him as comfortable as possible. One of the best ways to do this is with an outdoor dog bed. These beds are plush, comfortable, and easy to maintain. Placed on the porch outside or wherever your dog enjoys sleeping, they make a comfortable place for your dog to sleep while enjoying the fresh air and atmosphere of the outside. And don’t be afraid to get all the added bells and whistles on these beds, such as a protective dog bed cover, because your dog has been a loyal part of the family for years. Don’t you think he deserves the best?

When you’re picking out your dog house, you should have two major things in mind. The most important is your dog’s comfort, and the secondary concern would be visual appeal. After all, you don’t want to have something in your yard that you’re embarrassed by. But luckily for dog owners nowadays, many of the dog houses that are available are both attractive and designed specifically with dogs in mind.

To that end, always make sure that the house can offer your dog the greatest amount of comfort. Make sure that it’s big enough to house him, his water dish, food dish, and perhaps a fleece dog bed or cushion if desired. Also consider purchasing an insulated dog house. These will help to keep your dog cool in the summer and warm in the winter. One of the easiest ways to keep your dog comfortable is by helping him maintain a constant and pleasant temperature, and these kinds of dog houses are an easy way to achieve that comfort level.

A Hairy Situation

A Hairy Situation

My friend has a black lab that sheds horribly every summer. I watched her comb him for half an hour one day, and she still couldn’t get all the fur loose! Big tufts of black fur were everywhere. The fur on the floor was easy enough to clean up, but my friend got really sick of vacuuming her couch and washing her sheets because her dog liked to snuggle on them so much.

She finally got her lab a bed of his very own, and now most of his shedding stays contained to that easy-to-clean area. She even personalized it with his name – Buck – so that he has something to be proud of. No matter where she goes, Buck recognizes his own scent on the bed and always sleeps in it, minimizing the furry trail he leaves behind. As you can see, personalized dog beds make great solutions for problem pets who really shouldn’t be on your furniture!

Training a Dog Where to Sleep

Training a Dog Where to Sleep

Dog’s like to have a place to sleep that makes them feel comfortable, and often, is also near their owners.  But dogs that aren’t trained to sleep in a specific location will feel inclined to jump on the furniture, another bed, or get into trouble around the house while their owner is asleep.  The first step is purchasing a nice fleece dog bed.  It’s not well known how why a dog chooses to sleep in the same location night after night, or how it’s possible for them to identify a dog bed as “their place”, but most dogs will move right into a dog bed and mark it as their own.  The best place to have a dog bed is somewhere near the owner’s bed, as the dog won’t want to sleep in a location that isn’t near their master.  Place a fleece dog bed at the bedside, and the dog is sure to find a home there.

Make sure the dog knows when it’s time to go to sleep as well, as this will ensure the dog isn’t getting into trouble somewhere else in the home while the owner is asleep.  Be sure to let the dog outside one last time before going to sleep as well!

Dog Owners: Keeping Your Home Clean

Let’s face it, dogs can be a little bit dirty.  Even if you wiped your dog off and gave them a bath every time they came in from outside, there would still be dirt and grit stuck in between their fur.  In addition, the fur itself leaves a mess on furniture, carpet, and clothing, especially with long haired dogs.  Having a home that requires more maintenance than the average home is a necessary evil for dog owners, but you can reduce the impact the dog has on the home with a few simple practices.  For example, when you brush your dog often, there will be less hair left on the furniture, and in addition, there won’t be as much dirt and grit stuck in between the hair which find its way onto the furniture.  You can also prevent hair, dirt, and grit from accumulating in one location by having a dog bed, and a dog bed cover.  Just be sure to wash the dog bed cover every couple weeks, and encourage your dog to sleep in their bed.

These simple steps will lead to you having a cleaner home and a much easier life.  You might even find yourself less embarrassed to have guests over, since they won’t leave with their clothes covered in dog hair!

Like people, some dogs cannot be comfortable on a stack of worn down pillows or a hard, cold floor with sheets.  Canines require the a reasonable amount of sleep and rest like humans, so purchasing a dog bed for your furry little friend would be a great idea; after all, you wouldn’t want to sleep on a cold floor yourself, would you?

There are lots of fun choices for a dog snuggle bed.  To some, it may seem a bit far-fetched to buy a dog a luxury bed, but why wouldn’t you do that for your best friend?
