If you’ve purchased any variety of catnip toys or catnip accessories for your cat, you know that they don’t have the same appeal for your feline after a few months. The incessant chewing and slobbering that it first incited has a way of stemming or stopping completely.
One particularly tricky item is the catnip bed. After your cat sleeps in it every night, it can lose its potency and, subsequently, its appeal.
So are you doomed to buy a new catnip bed every time your cat turns up its nose? Luckily, there are several easy and quick solutions.
-Try simply rubbing the catnip inside the bed together. As the herb rubs, it becomes reinvigorated and once again fully releases its scent.
-If that doesn’t work, add a small amount of fresh catnip to the bed. Again, rub the contents to “activate” the herb.
-If you still can’t muster any excitement out of your kitty, spray the entire bed with a liquid catnip oil spray. Kooky Kat Catnip Budz in a Bottle is one possible brand.
