When I first brought home my baby kitten, Oliver, I never gave a second thought to him getting cold. Naively, I assumed that since he was an animal, he was capable of living in chilly climates. Although he had an abundance of fur, which I was constantly removing from my clothes and furniture, I found that he would often shake and shiver during the winter months.
After doing some research, I found out that despite their plush coats, animals are still susceptible to even moderately cold temperatures. I have never been an advocate of dressing up your pet in human clothing, so I decided to go the more traditional route and got Oliver a couple of cat blankets. He created a little nest for himself in his cat bed and doesn’t have any trouble braving the winter weather anymore.
